Digital concepts in contemporary implant prosthodontics – where are we today?

The lecture tries to summarize the changes that are currently taking place in implant prosthodontics. Over the last dozen or so years, many new technologies and methods have appeared both in the work of a dentist and a dental technician. Many of effective methods used for decades have become obsolete and replaced by new ones, the existence of which even in the 90s of the last century, we could not even imagine. The development of technology, not only in medicine, is characterized by constant acceleration, which brings with it a number of challenges such as the necessity to keep up with new products, but also the ability to critically look at them. Do they always bring benefits for us and our patients? Are they really more predictable? Are they saving our time and are they cheaper? Not all these and similar questions can be found in clear answers, but it is worth considering and analyzing the opinions available in the literature before we start our own adventure with all these news.
